How can one position themselves for success in this soon to be gigantic Energy industry? Well, based on all the info I have provided, it is clear that LENR is the energy source of the future. Just as there was an Industrial Revolution, there is also coming an Energy Revolution and our generation of today shall be known as the generation of the Energy Revolution.
NASA may soon patent LENR and once that’s done, it will be possible license their technology & become an OEM if one so wishes.
Important factors to consider would be:
1. Form Factor Design – for retrofitting heat units into stoves, ovens, & geysers, etc, and electrical units into respective components.
2. Factory Setup – Involves Hiring Manufacturing expertise. Acquiring Land, Robot Automation, etc.
3. Safety & Optimization
4. Raw Materials & Suppliers
5. National Instruments (Instrumentation Control & Machine Vision)

on the long term I feel that the future of LENR is to be integrated in most home appliance, vehicles, and not simply in big powerplants and boilers.

Actually no, I’m only hearing about this J Rothwell now for the first time. But i agree LENR will have to be intergrated into home appliances. Hopefully direct electricity production would be achieved as well.

if integrated in home appliance, tools and vehicles, it will reduce the need of electricity, maybe allowing pure home/building electricity production, like heat is local today.
if you assume all heat is produced by LENR in home appliance, you need less than 1kW peak

If heat is the only end product, my estimation is that it will reduce total household electrical consumption by only about half since the LENR reaction itself is still electrically initiated, and it won’t replace high wattage appliances such a the dish washer, clothes washer & drier, and vacuum cleaner. So 1KW may not suffice. For the car, perhaps Randell Mill’s CIHT cell is our best hope.

If only heat is used, without electric conversion (TEG,engine,turbines) you are right that electricity will be required for heat production.
From defkalion claims, and using engineer finger to smell the wind of future, I feel that the COP could be quite high, and that electric consumption would be symbolic (like <50W for an iron – COP=20 as defkalion says). We are only at the beginning of LENr and today's LENr reactor are like the first steam engine.
anyway, quickly people will add some TEG (seebeck, thermoionic – for handheld devices) or engine (rankine, stirling – for big machine) at least to power the reactor and the control electronic, and why not make machine pump and roll…
question is the price.
is a way the fluocompact/led technology, low power electronics, will allow us to consume less electricity for non-heat, and LENR will allow much less for heat… the home/building boiler could became a CHP… smart grid, no grid, old grid… many possibilities…

I concur with the COP thought. For electric conversion would you put your bet on Seebeck, Thermionic (Rodney Cox already has a patent on this one), Stirling, CIHT, or magnetic field harvesting proposed by Srivastava?
