Yes, Blacklight Power’s December 5 deadline has passed and still no SunCell prototype. Very disappointing. I guess we’ll just have to wait a bit longer to see the grown up version of the SunCell in operation.
Meanwhile, the company that brought us the smartphone battery that charges in 30 seconds finally managed to reduce the size of their battery enough for it to fit into a standard smartphone form factor. They will be showcasing their technology at CES from January 6-8 2015.
